Florida International University Earns Top Carnegie Classifications for Research – Bright Prep 16/11/2025

North South University has appointed Nesar Uddin Ahmed associate professor at Florida International University’s Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, as its new pro vice chancellor.

Approved by the honorable President and chancellor of universities of Bangladesh the appointment is effective immediately under Section 32(1) of the Private Universities Act, 2010.

University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and British Council sign an agreement in the House of Lords - Bright Prep 04/11/2025

University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh has signed a landmark partnership with the British Council to enhance the quality of higher education. The agreement focuses on academic leadership, teacher development and institutional capacity building across universities in Bangladesh.

This signing ceremony took place at the House of Lords, UK, under the initiative of Baroness Rosie Winterton, the UK Government’s Trade Envoy to Bangladesh. The event was attended by David Dowland registrar of Brac University.

Princeton University will mandate SAT or ACT scores for undergraduate admissions starting with the 2027-28 cycle, ending a seven-year test-optional policy launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. The revised policy targets students entering in fall 2028, two cycles out. The university's decision follows data analysis, finding academic performance stronger for students who chose to submit test scores.
