Dipke, a Boston University graduate and former communications aide to the Aam Aadmi Party, has become an unlikely figurehead of youth discontent. On May 16, he launched the satirical “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP), a parody of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party. What began as a tongue‑in‑cheek response to Chief Justice Surya Kant’s controversial remarks, where he reportedly called young government critics “cockroaches” and “parasites”, has since morphed into a viral political phenomenon. Kant later insisted his words were taken out of context, but the damage was done. Dipke seized the insult and turned it into a rallying cry.
