In line with PURBANI’s ongoing commitment to excellence, community development, and sustainable industrial growth, we are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT).
This collaboration strengthens our CSR vision and supports Bangladesh’s Sustainable Development Goals by fostering stronger industry–academia engagement. Through this partnership, we will:
- Share industry insights to support BUFT in enhancing its curriculum.
- Offer factory visits, internships, and job opportunities for BUFT students.
- Encourage the exchange of technical experts and researchers to drive innovation.
- Enable training programs for PURBANI employees through BUFT’s facilities and specialists.
We look forward to developing future ready talent and contributing to a more resilient and sustainable textile sector for Bangladesh.
In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 - Quality Education and SDG 5 - Gender Equality, Purbani launched the “Pathways for Promise” initiative in 2023, in partnership with the Asian University For Women.
This pioneering program reflects our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) by offering annual scholarships to deserving female employees enabling them to pursue higher education and unlock their full potential.
We are happy to share that, as of 2025, three (03) of our colleagues from Karim Textiles Limited and Purbani Fashion Limited have enrolled as university students under this initiative, each becoming a symbol of empowerment, resilience, and the transformative impact of education.
As part of our continued support, PURBANI Group ensures full wages and family assistance for these three scholars throughout their academic journey, allowing them to focus on their studies without financial burden. This support will continue until they successfully complete their graduation.
At Purbani, we believe that empowering women through education not only transforms individual lives but also contributes to building more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable communities.
