Book Bakery

Thank you all for contributing to the Book Bakery event. All of your participation, presence in many layers make the event. The event happened in the seminar library of the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Chittagong. Thanks a lot to our librarians at the Institute of Fine Arts, who take care of the exhibition stuff. Students, colleagues and friends visited our show and shared ideas for the next. Thanks to photographer Zakir Hossain for the event photography and the beautiful team collaborating with the artist and the printmakers and binders.

What?
The concept of "book bakery" was born out of an interest in books and baked food. The content of the book with its physical structure makes us interested in a book. If we consider the book as an object, we don't only read or see; the book itself can unfold an idea. It can make us more curious about its physical ability.
Book Bakery wants to start the journey with some content that gives eating a nice baked meal inside. When we get bored or hungry while reading a book, some eat biscuits and another bakery meal. The body of a book can be as delicious as its ingredients, like any tasty bakery food. Since healthy and tasty food and books are essential for us.
