How can I get 1600/1600 on the SATs by myself?
I got a 1580 (790 reading, 790 math) after starting with a 1390 (750 reading 640 math) with about four weeks of preparation.

Take a practice test - don’t worry about how well you score, just take it in the amount of time given. Always check over your answers and do corrections! Taking a practice test is useless unless you know why you’re getting questions wrong, and how to fix those mistakes.
Personally, I did 20 minutes of Khanacademy for math every day (except Friday, Saturday, and Sunday): if I got a problem wrong, I would redo the entire set again. It sounds annoying (it is) but it’s worth it. Once you can do math sections perfectly accurately, time yourself and try to do 5 questions in 4 minutes.
For reading, I didn’t really do much outside of the official practice tests, but I read a book a week just for fun, which helps with reading faster and vocabulary.
Take practice tests! I took a total of five - one diagnostic, and then one every Saturday for four weeks. Don’t bother buying a prep book - the official tests from Collegeboard are the best, and they’re free online. I took one in the morning, from 9 - 12, so I had an incentive of hanging out with friends in the afternoon. Remember to do corrections! I did mine on Sundays, so I could find out what sections on Khanacademy to target during the week.
Scoring “well” on the SAT is essentially about knowing how to take the test, the types of questions that will be on there, and time management. Don’t focus too much on the score; as long as you know the basics and you work hard enough, the score will come to you.
Finally, don’t take this test too seriously! It won’t define your future, and even if you get a 1500, 1300, or even a 900, it does not define your intelligence or potential. Remember to balance out other aspects of your life. Get enough sleep, have fun with friends, set aside time for hobbies…I honestly think I scored “well” because I didn’t let the SAT take over my life and I made time for the things I love.
Good luck!
