🌱 Reimagining VET Curricula for the Future of Agriculture
How can vocational education better prepare learners for the challenges of digitalisation, sustainability, and innovation in agriculture?
This question was at the centre of the latest FARMER training sessions in Trebinje, led by professor Sandra Bjelan from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. Participants explored modern approaches to curriculum development, focusing on competence-based education, learning outcomes, learner-centred teaching, inclusive learning environments, and innovative pedagogical and didactic approaches.
The sessions were closely linked to presentations delivered by the participating schools:
🔹 JU MSŠ "Enver Pozderović"
🔹 Centar srednjih škola Trebinje
🔹 JU Srednja mješovita škola Golubovci
Building on the stakeholder consultations conducted within the FARMER project, the schools presented their current programmes, key challenges, and development priorities. Together, participants reflected on how labour market needs and stakeholder feedback can be transformed into meaningful learning outcomes, teaching activities, and curriculum modules that support both student success and sector development.
By bringing together pedagogical expertise and practical experiences from schools, the sessions highlighted that curriculum innovation is not only about what students learn, but also how they learn.
