CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS – Bridging Cultures Short Course 2026 💙

Bridging Cultures is back! This June, UWC Mostar invites you to join one of its most impactful and immersive programs — Bridging Cultures – Short Course 2026 🌍

📍 Location: UWC Mostar premises, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
🗓 Dates: 22–29 June 2026
🗣 Language: English

This short course aims to equip young people with the skills and knowledge to bridge cultural divides and communicate effectively in diverse environments. Through the lens of the Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina as case studies, we will challenge perspectives on multiculturalism, conflict, and peacebuilding in post-conflict societies.

Using the framework of intersectionality, participants will explore overlapping systems of oppression that shape today’s world. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and activities, you will reflect on:

• diversity and acceptance
• identity (self & community)
• non-violent communication
• peacebuilding
• activism

You will also explore how language and the arts can create structural barriers — but also foster genuine understanding across cultures 🎭

✅ Eligibility Requirements:

• 15–18 years old at the time of the course
• From: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo, or Slovenia
• Comfortable reading, speaking, and understanding English
• Available and committed for the full duration (22–29 June 2026)
• Submit a complete application through the official form in our Instagram bio or at the official UWC Mostar website

💰 Fees:

The course is free of charge for selected participants.
Participants cover transportation costs and must have valid health and/or travel insurance for the duration of the course.
