Tremaniac Racing Winternationals Recap

After a disappointing Nitro Champs, where both cars qualified No. 1 and No. 2 only to be eliminated in the first round, Tyronne and Aaron were determined to make a statement at the Winternationals.

The weeks leading up to the event were busy, particularly after Aaron's engine suffered damage due to a broken valve retainer. The team decided to run the warm-ups to ensure both cars were on point heading into the biggest event of the season. With some encouraging half-track times, everything looked promising.

Qualifying at the Winternationals saw Tremaniac Racing dominate once again, locking out the top two positions. Aaron secured the No. 1 qualifying spot, with both cars running impressive 6.86-second passes.

With breakages reducing the field to six cars, both Tremaniac entries received byes in the opening round. The team continued its strong form, with both cars running under the Track Record and Aaron 6.857 Barking his own TRACK RECORD.

In Round 2, Aaron faced Tony Polito and delivered another strong performance, running 6.88 seconds for the win. Tyronne then lined up against Omar Sedmak in what proved to be a very close race. Both cars became unsettled during the run and were off their expected pace, but Tyronne was able to take the win and advance to the final.

Late Sunday afternoon it was time for the final. Earlier, both Top Fuel and Funny Car teams had struggled to get down the track, with several aborted runs highlighting the challenging conditions. While the air was exceptional and capable of producing record-setting performances, both drivers knew the track conditions weren't there to support it.

With both cars fully staged, Tyronne unfortunately left early and went red. Both cars were around a hundredth quicker to the 330-foot mark before the track went away, forcing Aaron and Tyronne to abort the run almost simultaneously.

Congratulations to Aaron on securing the Winternationals victory for the second consecutive year, while Tyronne claimed the runner-up position.

Tremaniac Racing would like to thank our sponsors, NxtGen Engineering and Diamond Pistons, 6Boost, Baileys Brake & Clutch, Aqualine Pools for their continued support. A huge thank you also goes to Tomi Laine & Adam Lambert for getting us out of trouble with broken struts.

Our crew, Kyle, Robbie, Peta, Nick and Scott P for all the effort helping in the lead up. Without your dedication and hard work, none of this would be possible.
