Almost done.
Busy day. Polished the body, fitted hardware, wiring, pickups and drilled the pilot holes for mounting the neck. Waiting on delivery of a 14mm auger to rebate the neck mount ferrules and a set of Sadowsky flat wounds.

Busy days work. Neck pocket cut, a difficult job considering the hardness and unpredictability of the Burl top.
Mock up of bridge placement after careful measurements and checking of string spacing complete. So many hours work going into this one.
Next week I need to carefully begin the placement and routing for the EMG PJ pickups and control cavity.
Then begins the hours of finish sanding and application of the clear finish.

It’s finished. Assembly completed, setup and intonation done, plugged in and tested. 😃
My experiment with a passive neck pickup and an active bridge pickup switched neck, bridge or both took some working through but with the addition of a little impeadance matching circuit it’s successful.
Still a little volume difference, lower from the neck but the "Boost" section of my pedal board makes up for that and the rich tone I am getting from the combined output is worth all the head scratching and work packing all the wiring and electronics into a small space. Her name is Thundercloud.
