To everyone who has supported a small, locally owned businesses this week - thank you.

To everyone who has shown a random act of kindness lately (no matter how large or small) - thank you.

Thank you for demonstrating that we live in an awesome community.

PS for those idiots committing acts of vandalism and crime lately, that is not welcome in our community. You are making life worse for everyone - including your-selfish-self.

Following today's announcement, I feel compelled to say this loud and clear.

Please support your small, locally owned businesses at every available opportunity.

We are hurting now more than you can possibly imagine, and without support from locals some of us may not be here in a few months.

Instead of getting takeaway from large chain stores, go to your local chip shop/cafe/restaurant etc. Instead of automatically jumping online please look in your own town first.

Yes we smile when you enter our shops/offices, but those smiles are hiding untold stress and fear.

Even the little things help such as liking and sharing posts, telling everyone you know about your favourite local businesses and encouraging everyone to shop local.
