Research states that testosterone and estrogen is at its highest concentration mid-cycle. The peak of these two hormones may cause your mood to be elevated and an increased libido.
If the goal of your cycle is to become pregnant when ovulating it makes sense that your libido is increased! You got to fertilise those eggs right?!
Once I understood this, it made me so much more aware of the way I feel during the month! This knowledge helped me understand me and I feel so much more empowered knowing what’s going on in my body!
