Port Stays

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Victoria’s Shipwreck Coast, Port Farm is a striking example of architecture in harmony with its environment. Designed by Mark Zanos, this off-grid home was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the classic farm shed - robust, enduring, and seamlessly integrated into the windswept landscape.

Clad in steel, the building’s form is both utilitarian and refined, designed to withstand the harsh coastal elements while aging gracefully over time. Every aspect of the design is intentional - open yet sheltered, simple yet sophisticated. A carefully considered layout ensures the home feels equally expansive and intimate, capturing the raw beauty of its surroundings while providing a sense of retreat.

Sustainability and accessibility are at the heart of the project, with passive solar design, off-grid energy solutions, and locally sourced materials reinforcing the connection between place and architecture.
