🗣 Calling all Gippsland Vets! The South Gippsland AVA Branch has finally been reinstated after many years of trying! This is FANTASTIC news for the sustainability of Gippsland Regional veterinary Services. 🥳
The first event in many years is taking place from 6.30pm next Tuesday 22nd October at The Black Tie, Warragul. You don’t have to be an AVA member to attend (though it is more expensive for non-AVA attendees). The committee have worked hard to create a balanced program of relevant SA, LA and mental health CPD with ample time for socialising. It is imperative we get a good turnout to demonstrate the real need for this branch to become regularly active once again so book in via the link below!
I encourage all local vets, graduates and students on placement in the area to come along and support these seasoned speakers, catch up with old colleagues and meet new ones. The rural branch meetings offer:
🐾Local, relevant CPD
👫Networking opportunities
🤝Peer support
🍻Social engagement with other veterinary professionals
The AVA South Gippsland Branch meetings were a fundamental reason why I successfully integrated into the Gippsland rural vet network, making lifelong friends and gaining acceptance as an immigrant to the area all those moons ago!!
I thoroughly look forward to catching up with lots of vets there next week for few beers, a good yarn and maybe a chance to learn something new.
