I’m beyond excited to share that my storytelling entry just won the PSA (Professional Speakers Australia) Storytelling Slam in the Associate Members category! 🎉🚀🤯

Out of submissions from across the country, only two winners were selected—and I’m honoured to be one of them!

This competition brought together storytellers from all over Australia, and I had the chance to put my story out there in my own way. Learning that it resonated with the judges is a tremendous honour—they even called my story a “highlight” and said it had a powerful, emotional impact.

Hearing that has meant the world to me. I worked really hard on the entry and doubted that I was even going to get a callback.

The journey’s just getting started! Here’s what’s coming up:

November: I’ll get feedback from the judges to help me refine the story further.

December/January: I get to work with an expert in a coaching session (can’t wait for this!).

March: THE BIG ONE—delivering my story live on stage at CADENCE25! This is the National Convention, and the best professional speakers from all across Australia will be in the audience!!

I am so grateful to Professional Speakers Australia for this opportunity and to everyone who has supported me on this journey.

This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to keep honing my craft to reach more people and make a difference in their lives.

My whole life has been a pursuit. Not of money, or material gain, or status or possessions. It has been a deeper pursuit of something that I felt was missing all along.

In my deepest self, in the core of my being, there is this subtle sense that I am missing something. At first I thought it meant that I was incomplete, but as I did the inner work I needed to do, that changed and shifted. The incompleteness is no longer there, and if it appears it is fleeting and only when I am low.

It took a long time, and some intense introspection, but then I realised what was missing.

Truth.

We all live inside our interpretation of what reality is and what life is about. We are shaped by our environments, our cultures and our experiences. But by themselves these are not necessarily Truth. They are mini-truths, they are interpretations.

What was missing for me was the ultimate truth. That big enormous thing that is beyond limitations, or interpretations.

And I realised that the work I do, and all the conversations and experiences I have, are based upon and originate from this search.

That is why the work I do, on myself and with others, is inspirational and transformational. It is the display that there is a base reality that underlies our human experience, and in a way explains it.

Self-leadership is the search for this truth, and my work with leaders is to help them also find the truth that exists beyond their conditioning.

Studies show that nearly 70% of employees feel disengaged or unhappy with their jobs.😳

This stat from recent workforce surveys highlights a widespread issue and underscores the negative impact of working in roles that don’t align with our passions or talents.

When we're stuck in a job we don’t love, we’re not just missing out on fulfilment—we’re choosing to suppress our innate gifts and unique potential.

The cost of this is additional stress, anxiety, and a lack of meaning and purpose in life. The adverse effects can spill over into all areas of your life.

Your true purpose is too important to be set aside. ✅

When we embrace roles that align with our passions, we thrive professionally and experience deeper satisfaction and success. 📈

The problem is that anyone can call themselves a coach. And I see this everywhere. There are people saying they are coaches when they're really just salespeople in disguise.

Here's how to tell the difference:
👉🏽 The centre of a true coach's viewpoint is their client, not themselves.
👉🏽 A true coach is interested in your outcome, not their own income.
👉🏽 A true coach lives and breathes to serve their client to the best of their ability.
👉🏽 A true coach listens more and speaks less. (Yes I do recognise the irony in posting so verbosely 😆)
👉🏽 A true coach invests in their own development so they can keep enhancing their skills and capabilities.
👉🏽 A true coach will exhibit deep authenticity, wisdom and selflessness.
👉🏽 A true coach will not manipulate you into what they think is right, but help you create the right possibility and outcome for yourself.
