Collective is closing and submissions are flowing 🌊

Let’s take another moment to look back at some of the incredible work by particpants from last year’s exhibition.

Collective 2025 closes tonight, 19 November at midnight, so if you haven’t submitted your work yet, now’s the time to jump in.

We’ll be honest though, we won’t start sifting through submissions at midnight, so the form will stay open until 7am tomorrow (20 November) for those working right up to the wire.

Collective opens 4 December at PS Art Space, presented by P*P and proudly powered by our Major Partners Joe’s Printing and Ted’s Cameras. ❤️

Nan Goldin – Photobook Legacies
With Anne O’Hehir, Curator of Photography, National Gallery of Australia

Nan Goldin’s exhibitions and photobooks became powerful windows into q***r life, addiction, love, friendship, and survival. They broke barriers, challenged norms, and brought private narratives into public consciousness, sparking dialogue and connection across generations.

Join us for a compelling talk by Anne O’Hehir, as she explores the enduring impact of Nan Goldin’s intimate visual storytelling, radical diaristic style, and the way her work reshaped our understanding of photography, and identity.

O’Hehir will also reflect on the power of the photobook in a pre-digital era, a vital way for work to reach international audiences. She’ll speak to the photobook’s unique ability to invite slow, intimate, and repeated viewing, allowing viewers to return to the same images over time.

12 August, 12pm AWST
Online | Free Admission | All Welcome

Presented by the Perth Centre for Photography, in partnership with the National Gallery of Australia, and John Curtin Gallery. This talk is held in conjunction with Nan Goldin: The Ballad of Sexual Dependency, on view at John Curtin Gallery until 14 September 2025, as part of the Bowness Family Foundation Touring Photography Exhibition series.
