Local Photo Guide

Recently back from a cycle trip in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Here are a few shots of one tiny part of the three week trip. They were preparing for the dragon boat races the next day. Everyone was there. The floating market was quite active but the widening of local roads means more trucks so the river is less used. Note the 'floating' pineapples as they transfer from farmer to retailer.. Video to come.

Pleasant day in Aix-en-Provence yesterday. Damp in the morning but it got sunnier. Cezanne’s workshop is under renovation. Mont Sainte Victoire is in the same place as I left it 10 years ago. The old city walls have led to some strange little buildings.
Today was a relaxing morning with some heavy rain and thunder which also cleared away. A lovely opportunity for a quick trot up the Cap de Canaille cliffs overlooking Cassis. Churchill painted them when he stayed in Cassis.
Simple dinner tonight then I’m watching the French play the Dutchies in Euro2024 with an 8.6%beer in hand. Such much good life 😀.
