Have you noticed these little seedlings of late?
After all that rain, we had in the Pilbara, lots of these Leucaena seedlings are starting to grow.

What are they?
Leucaena leucocephala is a small, fast-growing shrub or tree, growing up to 10 m or more tall. Common names include Jumbay, White Leadtree, River Tamrind, ipil-ipil, tan tan, and white popinac, or you might refer them to as w**d trees.
This species is a prolific seed producer and it also resprouts after its stems are deliberately cut or otherwise damaged. The seeds are often dispersed by small animals (i.e. rodents and birds) and cattle. The light pods may also be spread short distances by wind and can float on water.

Time to act! Have a look around your yard and pull out the seedlings now, while they are easy to do so.
Don't let them get out of control.
