Exciting news - restoration works on the Rainbow Serpent Water Feature have started!

Council have welcomed the talented husband‑and‑wife team Dimitar and Svetlana - specialist mosaic tilers from Waterforms International, Sydney - to the Shire for this significant project. They’ll be on site at The Cultural Precinct on Chandos Street for the next 12 days, undertaking meticulous repairs to the six most compromised mosaic sections.

This marks stage one of a four‑stage restoration project, which will roll out over the coming months.

Council is also pleased to share that the original artists were consulted prior to the commencement of works and they are fully supportive of the restoration process.

We look forward to bringing this much‑loved Indigenous artwork back to its former glory. Stay tuned for more updates! 🎨✨
