The safety, wellbeing and protection of every child is our highest priority. 💚

Our team engage in face to face Child Safety and Protection Training every year together as a team, strengthening our shared commitment to child safety and to creating environments where all children are and feel safe, secure, respected and supported.

This year, the Australian Government has introduced a sector wide mandatory online child protection training program, required to be completed by anyone working or volunteering with children in Australia. We are proud to confirm that every member of our Stellar ELK team has completed this new National Child Safety training through Geccko, well ahead of the required 27 August 2026 deadline.

Completing this new sector wide training program in small groups meant our team were able to meaningfully engage in collaborative professional conversations and critical reflection to further embed child safe practices. Ongoing professional learning, robust conversations and reflective practice are essential in maintaining our strong culture of child safety, advocacy and wellbeing within our Centre. 💚

A very exciting time at Stellar ELK ...our beautiful lovebirds Lemon and Lime have welcomed 5 healthy little babies! 🦜💚

Since they became part of our Stellar family in August 2024, Lemon and Lime have become such a special part of our learning environment, providing children with constant opportunities to develop gentle caregiving skills, empathy and an appreciation for living things. This will be their 4th clutch of babies to leave their nest ...their little fledglings will soon be ready to spread their wings and be adopted by some of our Stellar ELK families. 💚🥹
