Western Community Cookout

We're still looking for volunteers for our Westvale Community Center cookout to be held on the afternoon of October 2nd, which will feature a variety of multicultural cuisines and members from various communities, bringing you food, laughter, and healthy living tips. This event is in collaboration with the Westvale community and the city of Brimbank.

Take a break from the wards and spend the sunny Monday morning of September 16th promoting primary care while enjoying some authentic Vietnamese food! Spots are limited to 15 so get in fast to secure your spot.

Hello everyone, Just an update regarding our event with the Australian Vietnamese Women's Association.

The event is set for the 16th of SEPTEMBER at 9:30 AM. Just a quick recap of what this event will involve: You will get a chance to improve health literacy in the Western Suburbs by having an interactive cookout with various members of our diverse community. You will also get to learn how to make a killer Rice Paper Roll 🔪🥬 and other unique cultural dishes. You will have some fun opportunities to learn some essential Vietnamese words such as where is the pain, fever, etc.... This will undoubtedly aid you in interacting with this community if you are coming back next year to Western as an intern.

Sign-up forms are up and running. Spaces are limited to 15 positions, so get keen and stay notified with us to secure your volunteering position! Also if you speak any Vietnamese please let us know ahead of time as that would be very desirable for this event and would certainly be greatly appreciated by some of the community members that will be attending. We're proud to announce an exciting event coming very soon on 𝗙𝗿𝗶 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗔𝗬 with our lovely Sunshine community! We're looking for Volunteers keen to do blood pressure checks, AUSDRISK, and advice for diabetes prevention, and healthy living. We're looking for all year levels (MD2/3/4) ! 🔥 💪

There will be Free Food, cooking opportunities, dancing tute, and more! 🍗🍢☕
