🩸 If you’ve ever been told that “your blood test results are normal”, yet you feel crappy, allow me to explain…
The problem with relying on “normal range” for best health is that the ranges are far too broad to be optimal. For example in Australia, ferritin (a marker that measures iron stores) has a “normal range” of 30-300 👈🏼That’d wild! Considering ferritin can be greatly influenced by factors such as infection & or inflammation, someone with ferritin < 30 can feel vastly different to someone with ferritin levels of 300+, yet anything between that range is considered “normal”.
“Normal” does not mean “healthy”.
Analysing individual markers against one another in a comprehensive blood test paints a bigger picture allowing us to detect patterns and therefore narrow down the root cause of symptoms. This is why I always work with “optimal ranges” for best health results 😉
