The Face Behind the Framework.
I spend a lot of time talking about DISC style, but not always about the person interpreting them.
This year, I stepped in front of the camera to show the face behind the DISC Reports and Workshops I love doing.
Working with teams and leaders using DISC is about much more than colours, animals and letters. It’s about interpreting human behaviour through the lens of empathy, insight, and context.
📸 This photoshoot felt like a reset -- a reminder that people want to connect with people, not just PDFs.

This , we’re matching iconic characters with their likely DISC styles. Because even in a galaxy far, far away... personality matters.
🔴 D – Darth Vader
Driven, commanding, and focused on results—Vader doesn’t waste time with small talk. He takes control, makes swift decisions, and leads with power (and a little intimidation). Classic high-D.
🟡 I – Han Solo
Charming, persuasive, and full of swagger. Han brings the energy, improvises in tough situations, and talks his way out of trouble. High-I with a blaster and a wink.
🟢 S – Luke Skywalker
Loyal, dependable, and focused on harmony. Luke values connection and peace, and takes time to understand others—even Vader. His calm, steady nature shines through his Jedi training. Hello, high-S.
🔵 C – C-3PO
Detail-oriented, logical, and always worried about the odds. C-3PO is all about procedure and doing things by the book. A perfect high-C (and probably the only one keeping the Millennium Falcon somewhat organised!).

Understanding your team's stress responses can be your secret weapon! 🚀
Under pressure, each DISC profile responds differently:
🔴 D-styles take charge and make quick decisions
🟡 I-styles communicate and seek connection
🟢 S-styles look for stability and consistency
🔵 C-styles analyse details to find solutions
When stress hits your team, these different approaches can either clash or complement each other.
The key is understanding that these aren't wrong reactions. They're just different strategies!

I started my random act last night by trying to help an elderly non-English speaking neighbour retrieve his runaway cat 🐈⬛. Sadly Diego simply refused to be caught and disappeared into the bushes. 🤦♀️
