🎬✨ From scrolling to storytelling — a glimpse behind the scenes of an inspiring Smartphone Videography Workshop for teenagers during the school holidays in Brisbane last week.

I had the pleasure of introducing students to the world of student filmmaking, digital storytelling and creative media skills — showing them that their phones can be much more than a device for scrolling, gaming and chatting.

📱 A smartphone can be a powerful creative tool to capture ideas, tell personal stories, create engaging videos, build confidence and even explore future opportunities in content creation and digital careers.

During this school workshop, students learned the basics of filming, storytelling, editing, sound design and creative video production. They created their own short videos, experimented with music, effects and different storytelling techniques.

What impressed me the most was how quickly young people embraced the technology. After just one demonstration, they were confidently editing their own videos and bringing their ideas to life.

It was incredible to see their creativity, curiosity and confidence grow throughout the session. 🚀

Digital creativity and media skills are becoming essential skills for the next generation, and I would love to bring more creative workshops for students, schools and community programs across the Sunshine Coast and Queensland.

Watch the highlights to see the energy, creativity and amazing stories created by these young filmmakers. 🎥✨

Do videographers really need AI assistants?
Yesterday, I attended an AI workshop by BlueSeasAI, and it was one of those moments when technology suddenly becomes real.

Until now, I mostly viewed AI as a chatbot, a research tool, or a way to generate and plan content. But during this workshop, I experienced AI from a completely different perspective — not just as a user, but as a creator.

For the first time, I understood where AI assistants can create the greatest value for me. Not only in content creation, content planning, or social media management, but in the operational side of business: communication, analysis, decision-making, workflow management, and everyday business processes.

Having spent more than 20 years in marketing, I naturally approach everything — even videography — through the lens of business effectiveness and measurable outcomes. That’s why the idea of AI assistants supporting operational and strategic activities immediately resonated with me.

In just a few hours, we didn’t simply talk about AI capabilities; we actually built our own AI assistants. Real assistants designed to support specific tasks, streamline workflows, and help businesses operate more efficiently.

What surprised me the most was how accessible it all was.

Creating AI assistants no longer feels like something reserved for developers, tech experts, or large corporations. It’s a practical technology that can be built and implemented within hours for almost any business — from a solo entrepreneur or micro-business to a large organisation.

This workshop completely changed my perspective on what’s possible.

After this session, I don’t think I have any chance of staying on the sidelines. 😊 The next step is clear: to dive deeper into this field and start actively integrating AI assistants into my own work and business processes.

So now I’m expanding beyond ChatGPT and exploring Claude, automation tools, and the broader ecosystem of AI-powered assistants.

It feels like the beginning of a very exciting journey.

A special thank you to Bart and Luke Hawley for the direction, guidance, and hands-on support throughout the workshop. Your practical approach made the technology feel approachable, actionable, and immediately useful.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is supporting non-profit organisations that bring so much beauty and creativity into our community.

Over the last few concerts, I’ve had the pleasure of creating video content for BellSonance Productions here in Brisbane. It’s more than just a collaboration—it’s a chance to immerse myself in incredible music and be inspired by talented artists.

I try not to miss any of their performances and often attend with my child. Every concert is a wonderful experience and a reminder of how valuable local arts and culture are.

Here’s a little glimpse from one of the projects we’ve worked on together. ✨

We’ve hit the halfway mark of our Digital Storytelling Project — and we’re feeling all the feels. ✨

10 creators. 10 real stories. Women, migrants, everyday people — each with a voice worth hearing.

Soon we’ll bring all these stories together in one powerful video for a wider audience. But right now? The warmth and support flowing between our participants is already telling us everything we need to know about why this project matters.

To our creators, our community, and everyone on the Sunshine Coast following along — thank you for making this real. 🤍

✨ What a week at our Female Entrepreneurs Club! 🎤
It was the absolute pleasure of welcoming Mayor Rosanna Natoli, who generously shared her techniques and knowledge on public speaking — a truly inspiring evening packed with real, practical takeaways.

It was brilliant to see so many new members in the room — welcome to the club! 🙌 And a big shoutout to everyone who came along. Don’t forget — next month’s event is coming up and we’d love to have you join us!

These gatherings are a reminder of just how powerful it is to be part of a community like this. There’s something special about being in a room full of like-minded women who genuinely want to see each other succeed. That sense of connection and support? You can’t put a price on it.

Local networking has always been one of the most effective tools on the Sunshine Coast — and that’s never going to change. No matter what’s going on in the world, we will always find a way to show up, connect, and lift each other up. 💛

The testimonials from last month are coming in — and this is just the beginning! 🙌
It’s been such a rich and diverse month, filled with cross-cultural projects that truly light me up. I’m so grateful for every kind word and for the trust you place in me.
Thank you to my partners and clients — you make this work so meaningful.

By the way, video is an incredibly powerful tool for showcasing your clients’ opinions and feedback. It brings your work to life, highlights the volume of what you do, and lets your reviews speak louder than words ever could.
So I encourage everyone — start filming video testimonials! And if your reviews are already sitting in social media, reformat them into video. It’s easier than you think and the impact is huge. 🎥✨

It was a great honor to capture such a beautiful concert performed by true professionals, whom our whole family now follows both for personal enjoyment and for collaboration on video projects.

I would like to thank BellSonance Productions for the events you organize every month for our cultural enjoyment. I highly recommend following their page and attending their upcoming concerts in Brisbane.
