At Regional Minds Matter, we are dedicated to raising awareness about su***de prevention for men and children in our regional communities. Our mission is to break the stigma surrounding mental health and provide crucial support to those who need it most.

As a social worker and a survivor of unimaginable personal loss, my journey has been shaped by tragedy. I have lost my grandpa, two uncles, a dear friend, and my dad—who was my best friend—to su***de. The most painful moment came when I found my father gone when I was just 23 years old. This experience ignited a passion in me to help others who may be struggling in silence.

As a single mother of two beautiful daughters and a dedicated social worker for individuals with disabilities, I have always believed in the power of community support. However, my life took a dramatic turn in 2023 when I survived a severe car accident that left me with a fractured spine and permanent disabilities. Despite the challenges, I was determined to return home for my children and have since redirected my energy towards Regional Minds Matter.

With your help, we aim to provide free and low-cost trauma-informed counseling support, focusing on mental health for teens and families. Every day, countless families face the heartbreak of losing a loved one to su***de.
