🐢 It’s turtle hatchling season!

From autumn through to winter, baby snake‑necked turtles will be emerging from their nests and making their way to nearby wetlands, lakes, and rivers. It’s an exciting time, but also a risky one for these tiny hatchlings.

You can help keep them safe by:
✅ Slowing down when driving or cycling near waterways
✅ Keeping dogs on leads near wetlands and lakes, and reporting issues to Rangers on 9550 3777
✅ Giving hatchlings space (only assist if they’re in immediate danger)
