Practically Learning
This is for the teacher who lies awake at 2am.
Not because you’re stressed about your workload.
Because you’re thinking about a child.
The one whose home situation broke your heart this week. The one who came in Monday with severe anxiety. The one who sat at the back and said nothing — and who is still sitting in the back of your mind at 2am on a Wednesday.
You’re not on the verge of burnout because you don’t care.
It’s because you care so much — and nobody has ever taught you how to carry that load without letting it consume you.
You absorb the dysregulation of every struggling student. You feel the weight of every difficult parent conversation in your body for days. You take on the emotional atmosphere of the staffroom, the anxiety of leadership, the needs of colleagues who are also drowning.
You are often doing this alone. Quietly trying to cope without revealing how much you are actually struggling.
You are the empaths of the profession.
And teachers like you are disappearing from teaching at an alarming rate — not because the job broke them, but because they were never given the tools to protect themselves inside it.
Our Amplify Your Energy Masterclass Series was built for exactly this teacher. For you. To make sure you have the tools to stay in the profession you care about.
I’m seeking a small group of teachers to become founding members of this unique masterclass designed specifically for you.
To teach you how to be the lighthouse — shining fully, consistently, without burning yourself out in the process.
Four x 60 minute sessions - over 4 weeks. July 26. Online. $97 AUD.
International teachers welcome — replays included for every time zone.
Perfect to complete during your school break to prepare for the rest of this year.

Your energy body is your responsibility to take care of
I published a book in 2023 and since then I’ve been so swept up in building my Amplifying Human Intelligence coaching and learning platform that I didn’t properly introduce it to many of the people in this community.
So here it is.
Creating Connections: Inspire your child to thrive in their learning.
I wrote it because in 16 years working in and around Australian education — as a consultant, a university lecturer, a parent engagement specialist and a mother of three — I kept seeing the same gap. And it still exists today - perhaps it’s now even wider.
Schools and parents wanting the same thing for children. And somehow talking past each other.
Parents who felt excluded from their child’s learning. Educators who feel unsupported by families. Children caught in the middle of a relationship that was never given the tools it needed to work properly.
The transition to school is one of the most significant moments in a child’s cognitive and emotional development. And most families navigate it without any real understanding of what’s happening in their child’s brain during that period — or what role they actually play in shaping the outcome.
Creating Connections was written to close that gap.
It explores the neuroscience of early learning, the practical ways parents can support their child’s development at home and at school, and the stories — some funny, some heartbreaking, many both — of what happens when the parent-school relationship works and when it breaks down.
I wrote it as a parent as much as a practitioner. Because this work has always been personal for me.
If you work with parents, lead a school community, support families through the early years of education, or are simply a parent who wants to understand your child’s learning journey more deeply — this book was written for you.
