On behalf of Rai Matak, WithOneSeed , Fundacão Nova Esperanca Timor Leste - NETIL, Ngo Timor Verde no Centro Comunidade Covalima we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people of Timor-Leste and all Rai Matak and WithOneSeed farmers as we celebrate the 24th Anniversary of Restoration of Independence.

Today, we honour the courage, resilience, and unity of the Timorese people who continue to build a stronger nation for future generations. We also recognise the important role of farmers and communities in restoring forests, protecting the environment, and strengthening climate resilience across Timor-Leste. 🌱

Together, let us continue working towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Timor-Leste for generations to come.

Last month, our Carbon Farming Manager Emilio Guterres had the amazing opportunity to attend a seminar at the University of Melbourne ( University), Australia!

He shared valuable insights on the importance of local knowledge from our communities and encouraged everyone to value the wisdom of our elders. He also highlighted the significance of our culture and its connection to our land.

A highlight of the seminar was the presentation of Baguia's seasonal calendar by Elisa Joana Gusmão. We're proud to see our local knowledge being shared on a global platform!

In this seminar participate from Friends of Aileu, Xpand Foundation, University of Melbourne, and another participants as well.

This is a beautiful sharing and learning from Baguia and Australia 🍃.
