why is it so important that our socks are made with 75% organic cotton?

first of all, any natural fibres (cotton, bamboo, etc) are generally better for the environment because they are biodegradable, which means they will break down naturally. on top of that, organic cotton is better than conventional cotton - because it is grown without toxic pesticides and uses less water.

in comparison, synthetic fibres (polyester, nylon etc) are primarily derived from fossil fuels. they also are not biodegradable, therefore contribute to microplastic pollution.

keep in mind that no fibres/clothing are 100% sustainable. anything you purchase will leave some sort of impact on the environment. however, what you can do is: try to opt for organic natural fabrics as much as possible.
