It has been an absolute joy to be able to come and stay and play on Ngarluma Country this week as we have visited schools in Karratha and Dampier. Last night was the big one as our music students took the stage at REAP with students from Karratha SHS, and Tambrey, Millar’s Well, Baynton West, Dampier, Karratha, and Peg’s Creek primary schools. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces - both on the stage and in the audience.

This week we have 48 music students away in the Pilbara performing for and with students from various schools in Karratha. After journeying up and settling in yesterday, the group spent the morning with rangers from Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation learning about the local rock art, before being welcomed by all at Millars Well Primary School for our first performance. Bluey went down well, but the kids really loved Metallica!
