THE HARDER THEY FALL director Jeymes Samuel is set to direct Lionsgate's live-action STREETS OF RAGE movie, based on the Sega video game series.

The original STREETS OF RAGE followed three former police officers who work to save their city from a criminal syndicate.

Samuel will direct from a script by SONIC THE HEDGEHOG screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh Miller.

JOHN WICK creator Derek Kolstad wrote a previous iteration.

Escape Artists is producing with Story Kitchen and Sega.

Amazon MGM Studios has scrapped its STARGATE revival series.

Several STARGATE veterans were attached to the series, including Martin Gero as showrunner, as well as Brad Wright and Joseph Mallozzi as consulting producers.

Amazon was reportedly concerned about the new series lacking broad appeal.

Centropolis Entertainment and Safehouse Pictures were executive producing.
