Mental health is one of the leading reasons Australians visit their GP – and the demand keeps growing. Our Health of the Nation 2025 report (launching 7 October) shows: - 71% of GPs report psychological issues among their top reasons for patient presentations – up 10% since 2017. - female GPs see more patients for mental health concerns. - 44% of Australians will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.
