This one came to me with electrical issues and not being able to crank the engine properly. Upon a detailed inspection multiple issues were found with the battery cabling. The main issue is that someone has used a Stanley knife to cut the outer shield off and cut through the wire sheath thus allowing salt water to get in. As you can see the green death has taken that section of battery cable out and it was very hard to spot. I also had wiring not correctly crimped into the lugs which you can see pulled out and also heat shield overlapping the battery terminal mating surface.

All sorted correctly and back on the water for this one!

A bit more on the Yamaha 70hp that required a full carb overhaul, rectification on a seized carbs, a new head/cover assembly set up and bolt extraction. She’s all done and it had it’s first run on the water back with the owners today with a glowing report back on how well it’s now running.
