Street food in Perth isn’t everywhere but once you find it, you’ll keep coming back! From savoury lumpia to juicy dumplings, this is one of Perth’s best food experiences.

Ten years ago, I had my first taste of Khao Soi in Chiang Mai - and it’s a dish I’ve kept coming back to on every trip since. Finding those familiar flavours here in Perth brought all of that back. I can’t wait to share it in my upcoming video of Perth.

Living in Perth, there are some flavours from back home 🇵🇭 that you just can't shake. I recently stopped by Filipinas Grocery in Alexander Heights to find the snacks I’ve missed the most. It’s funny how a simple bag of chicharon or ube ice cream can take you right back.
Hope you enjoy this little walk down memory lane with me. Would love to know - what’s the one Filipino snack you always stock up on your cupboard?

There’s an unspoken rule when you’re from Pangasinan: no one does bangus quite like home. 🐟

Born and raised in Pangasinan, the Bangus Capital of the Philippines - I grew up with some of the best milkfish on the table. So when I tried the Rellenong Bangus at the iconic Ilustrado inside the historic walls of Intramuros, I brought a lifetime of high expectations with me.

Rellenong bangus is one of those dishes that showcases Filipino craftsmanship. Deboning the fish, preparing the filling, and putting everything back together takes patience, skill, and tradition passed down through generations. Enjoying it in a restaurant steeped in Spanish-colonial history felt like a beautiful meeting of heritage, culture, and memory.

These days, I call Australia home, but moments like this remind me that a taste of Pangasinan is never too far away. Sometimes, home finds you in the most unexpected corners of Manila. ❤️🇵🇭

Have you dined at Ilustrado? And what’s the one comfort food that instantly takes you home whenever you travel?

You'd be forgiven for thinking this was in Japan.🇯🇵

Tucked beneath the back streets of Perth, Ginza Nana Alley feels like stepping into another country - tiny eateries, glowing lanterns, and narrow laneways full of character.

This is the final stop of my latest street food crawl through Perth. Full video drops tonight at 5:30 PM.

News of the earthquake in Mindanao hits close to home. Having experienced the 1990 earthquake in Pangasinan as a child, I know how frightening and disruptive these events can be. Praying for everyone affected and hoping for their safety and recovery. 🙏🙏🙏
