VETS ARE AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE

A number of residents have contacted me over the last 24 hours to confirm that Vets are considered an ‘essential service,’ as there is uncertainty in the industry as reported by WA Today.

Like you all, I am relying on the advice of the State Government.

I have received advice from the Department of Premier and Cabinet and can confirm that the WA Government considers Veterinarians, VET Nurses and VET Supplies to be essential services.

We are facing an unprecedented health crisis; however there will still be many animals who need medical support, and the vet industry will be ideally placed to ensure appropriate care is taken in terms of mitigating risk.
