Visceral fat is located deep in the core abdominal area, surrounding and protecting the vital organs. Ensuring you have a healthy level of visceral fat directly reduces the risk of certain diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure and may delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.
If you want to find out about your visceral fat levels please contact us via Facebook message and see where we are next studio we will be conducting body scans.

It is something we hear ALOT..... Clients focus on what their weight is, rather than what their weight is made up of. Having a understanding of knowing what your weight is made up of is much more important than the actual number. For further information please send us a message and we are happy to come assist you and your clients start assessing rather than guessing. 💪🏻

How to Calculate total calories required.
Our Helix scan will calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This is the amount of calories you burn at absolute rest.
You then need to multiply this by your PAL (Physical Activity Level), This will give your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure).
If your goal is to Maintain your Bodyweight then consume the amount of calories your TDEE states.
If your goal is to decrease mass then you need to deduct 10-20% of calories from the TDEE to put your body in calorie deficit.
If your goal is to decrease mass then you need to add 10-20% of extra calories to the TDEE to put your body in calorie surplus.
Remember, not all calories are equal. Please ensure that the calories are of the highest quality wherever possible.
Give us a shout at Helix to help you control your calories and achieve your goals.
