Perform a random act of kindness today - you never know where it will lead.
Here are 7 ways to make kindness the norm in your daily life:
1. Send a surprise voice note instead of text.
2. Compliment three strangers.
3. Be a 'life-lifter' by taking something off someone's plate.
4. Let them merge into traffic.
5. Share gratitude 'shout-outs' on social media.
6. Leave sticky notes with inspirational messages in public places.
7. Do something to intentionally make yourself smile - it's catching!

Why Zero Matters 11/11/2025

Why Zero matters.

Why Zero Matters Polio cases have been reduced by 99.9% worldwide since 1988. But continuing efforts to end the disease are critical to eradicating polio for good. We've immu...

Why we must never get complacent about Polio and continue to work towards eradicating it!
Why? Because CANADA has just lost its measles-free status after failing to get on top of an outbreak that’s infected thousands of people over the past year, with the US on track to follow suit. Canada eliminated measles - an extremely contagious disease that causes rashes, fevers, and sometimes life-threatening complications - in 1998 after a widespread vaccination campaign.
Here in Oz, we became measles-free in 2014, but a growing number of cases is threatening that, and health officials are mightily worried.
Please do not underestimate the power we have to remain vigilant and safeguard our children and their future.

SHOUT OUT to Rotarian Christine Tonkin from Cambridge Rotary Club.
Christine covered 76 train stations on Friday and travelled on the three newest lines: High Wycombe, Ellenbrook, Byford and Thornlie-Cockburn.
She said it was heaps of fun but only saw one other "End Polio Now" campaigner, on another platform just as her train was leaving the Station on the return to Subiaco!
Christine sponsored herself and raised funds for End Polio campaign.
Well done Christine!

David Bennett and Mike Winslade passed the DG and cohorts from Mill Point RC on the esclators in Joondalup shopping centre but not enough time to get a photo!
Well done Belmont RC!

This is Terry McAuliffe whose personal story is as a survivor of Polio.
Terry contracted Polio in 1951 when he was only 15 months of age and had a fever for 2-3 days. Terry was admitted to hospital where he was in isolation for 3 months. His parents were not allowed to touch him and could only observe through a small glass window.
Terry's powerful story of contracting polio at 15 months old and his journey to recovery is inspiring. Despite physical challenges, he excelled in sports and found strength. Forty years later, confronting repressed memories through Clinical Pastoral Education helped him understand his trauma and grow stronger.
Join with us on Friday as we wear our Red End Polio T-shirts and raise awareness of this disease.
Some were not as lucky as Terry.
