I was that mum that put my baby in the sink just to get the dishes done. Motherhood brought out as every mother knows, every ounce of creativity, tenacity and devotion.
I retrained as a music teacher and a Celebrant through his childhood to support us and this page has seen some changes those years but it is writing and recording music that gives me the deepest Joy and is my “ home”.
That baby is now 17 - i took him camping a few weeks ago, offline out of range, sleeping under the trees, swimming in the river with the red tail cockatoos flying above us- a place that is always deeply regenerative for me. During that time i listened to the voice memos i had made the past years and realised my new album was amongst them.
Have been sat at my mother's piano the last weeks recording vocals to garage band and this, now techy son - has offered to help me this weekend , produce a little more in Ableton, one of my new songs, that i played for him last night.
I'm so excited to have a small body of personal and i hope resonating and healing work, to release soon, alongside a single and a video clip of a song that has waited a long time to be released - Video Shot by Zena Loxton.
A release of that track is coming with two international producer/ composers and will share details very soon. I cannot wait to share this new music with you 💜
