A dedicated space for life’s admin — bills, batteries and the everyday clutter — complete with a pinboard splashback for school notes, sporting calendars and rotating masterpieces.

Designing for the way families actually live.

An L-shaped floor plate wraps around a north-facing backyard, allowing both the kitchen and lounge to open directly onto the garden. The pool and lawn create a generous, family-oriented outdoor space, with an open dining area positioned adjacent to the living zone.

Internally, the concrete floor transitions to a smaller-format crazy paving to define the outdoor dining area and reference the paving used to the front entry and driveway. Overhead, the mature eucalyptus tree — which gives the house its name — anchors the setting.
