ππ₯ Feral Pig Trapping Paused β But the Fightβs Not Over!
As we head into the wettest part of winter, the Lower Blackwood Vertebrate Pest Management Group (LBVPMG) is wrapping up trapping operations for the 2025 season β but that doesnβt mean the pigs get a free pass!
π« With the Scott River area too boggy for safe vehicle access, trapping is on hold until the new year.
π But we still need your eyes on the ground!
If you spot feral pigs, report them here:

π« Our team remains on call for landholder reports, so donβt hesitate to reach out.
π A huge thanks to Delta Forestry for jumping on board and supporting our work across the Scott Coastal Plain β partnerships like this, alongside proactive landholders, are key to keeping feral pressure in check.
This project is funded by a Community Stewardship Grant, an initiative of the Western Australian Government managed through the State Natural Resource Management Program WA and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. Additional funding has been provided the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, the Shire of Nannup Peppermint Estate Pty Ltd., and Delta Forestry Pty. Ltd. This project is facilitated through a continuing partnership between the Lower Blackwood LCDC and the Lower Blackwood Vertebrate Pest Management Group.
