Umbrella Community Care

Umbrella recently attended the Volunteering Australia National Conference 2026, joining volunteer leaders from across the country to explore the latest trends, innovations and best practices in volunteering.

As the provider of one of Perth's leading Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) programs, the conference provided valuable opportunities to share ideas, strengthen sector connections, and gain practical insights that will help us continue enhancing our volunteer programs and the support we provide to older Australians experiencing loneliness and social isolation, particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and LGBTIQA+ communities.

We would like to thank the Australian Government Department of Social Services for supporting our attendance through a conference scholarship, and Volunteering Australia for hosting such an informative and engaging event.

Our Umbrella community recently took a trip to visit the beautiful St. George’s Cathedral 🐉

It was a lovely afternoon filled with stunning architecture and great company.
