Today is Thank a First Responder day!
Some of our OSHC children at Atlantis Education Centre - Ocean Keys learned some new Auslan signs in order to say a very special "Thank You" to all the brave men and women that keep us safe every day.

🌿 Little Hands, Big Connections 🌿

Through sensory play, even our smallest learners can begin exploring the world around them in meaningful ways.

At Tall Tree Early Learning - Mullaloo, our nursery room children engaged with a sensory tuff tray featuring a variety of textures including natural materials, split peas, sand and Australian animal figurines. As they scooped, touched, discovered and explored, they were developing important skills including sensory awareness, fine motor development, curiosity and language.

Experiences like these also provide opportunities to introduce children to the beauty of Australia's natural environment and encourage a sense of connection to Country from an early age. By engaging with natural elements and native animals through play, children begin building respect, appreciation and understanding of the land, plants, animals and stories that make Australia unique.

Learning about Country starts with exploration, wonder and connection and those foundations can begin in the very earliest years. 💛

💛 Dadirri: Deep Listening 💛

During our Walk on Country, our team took part in Dadirri, a practice originating from the Ngan'gikurunggurr (NANG-ee-koo-roong-goor) peoples of the Northern Territory.

Meaning "deep listening," Dadirri encourages us to slow down, be present, and connect with Country, culture and one another through quiet reflection.

A powerful reminder that listening is an important part of learning and reconciliation. ✨
