A white cheeked Honey Eater - posing as the bird I was not looking for 😩….

This last trip to Cheynes beach was the closest I got to finally shooting an Emu Wren… I had a male hanging around next to me
(though doing the standard wren move of always keeping a branch between us)

… I had him next to me for around 20-30 seconds, which is the longest I’ve seen one stick around, had the excitement begging to flow, then he was gone…
Not to be.
The mission continues.
The Champaign stays corked for my most hated bird 😆

My kids first time getting to experience the dancing lady and my third… Still such an amazing sight, and experience💃
