If your blonde extensions are turning pinky, peach or orange, the culprit is often hiding in your sunscreen ☀️

Many chemical UV filters cause oxidation when they come into contact with blonde hair extensions.
Because extensions don’t regenerate pigment like natural hair, discolouration is permanent.

Ingredients to AVOID on extensions:

• Avobenzone (the biggest offender)
• Oxybenzone
• Octocrylene
• Homosalate
• Octisalate
• Tinted or bronzing SPF formulas

These ingredients react with heat, UV and minerals in water triggering pink, peach or orange staining, especially on blondes.

Extension-safe SPF alternatives:

• Zinc Oxide
• Titanium Dioxide
• Mineral / physical sunscreens only This is one of the most common causes of blonde extension damage I see in salon and it’s completely preventable 🤍
