Exo-Grow is a scalp treatment that uses a combination of professional microneedling and at-home care products to promote hair growth and improve scalp health. The professional treatment involves using fine needles to create tiny channels in the scalp, which helps infuse serums rich in exosomes and other growth factors. This process aims to stimulate hair follicles, extend the hair growth cycle, and improve overall scalp condition. The at-home system includes products like a hair tonic, shampoo, conditioner, and a scalp mask designed to complement the treatment.

Treatments are spaced 4 -6 weeks apart and 4 treatments are required to complete the course.

GRAZING!

Us as brow techs always bang on about how important it is to inform of us of any changes in skincare or use of retinol/ AHA’s/Anti-ageing products and this is why!

I’ve luckily never had any one graze like this and wow did it scare the hell out of me! This client has been a client of mine for over 3 years and we’ve never had an issue with the wax until this time! She had started Skin+Me which I’ve seen a huge rise in clients using recently where the product is nearly always Tretinoin or some form of retinoid, this decreases the layer of dead skin cells (the protective barrier) we all have on our skin and means that if the skin is waxed instead of removing this layer of dead skin it removes a layer of fresh skin cells resulting in skin grazing and lifting like the picture.

A lot of products even highstreet skincare now contain active ingredients from cleansers, toners, serums and acids that shouldn’t be used when waxing so PLEASE always inform your tech of any skincare changes, medication changes, sunbed use at the start of your appointment. It’s imperative to stop using retinols atleast 5 days before you appointment, if it’s prescription acne medications such as Accutane waxing can not be carried out at all.

We can do our part as techs by insuring our wax is set at the correct temperature, leaving the lids off heaters to avoid over heating, patch testing the wax on your forearm and being sure to wax as close to brow as possible to avoid delicate skin on the lid but all of this can be in vein if we’re not in the know with our clients skin type and skincare regime/medication.
