The Kindness Project

My office is currently looking in quite the state!!
I have pulled everything off the walls, half the walls are painted. Half of the ceiling is done, because I ran out of paint!!!
Today was trip to Ikea for the floor to ceiling-wall to wall curtains and lighting strip....eeepppp!!! It's going to look beautiful....once I install them, I am totally sure it is easy.
A few days ago, I made my own canvas artwork. It is the cover of a book I recently made for myself, and I have completed it with my favourite poem over the image, The Worst Thing - By Chelan Harkin.
The other picture I ordered today, from the UK. It is a flock of seagulls. I have two favourite books, Oh the Places You Will Go, by Dr Suess, and Johnathon Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. I read this book when I was 16 and its message has stuck with me for my lifetime.
It helped me understand why I always felt like a bit of an outcast, it gave a me a radical acceptance of self. That acceptance has taken a few hits over the years, but I feel like it would be hard to knock these days as I have made a strong devotion my own existence in this lifetime.
Slowly but surely, around the doing of life, my space is coming together. I am excited for new offerings, and the beauty of the moments that will eventually take place in this sacred space.
So excited......
Here is the beautiful poem by Chelan. Below I will add her reading of it. It is so special to hear.
The Worst Thing
By Chelan Harkin
The worst thing we ever did
was put God in the sky
out of reach pulling the divinity
from the leaf,
sifting out the holy from our bones,
insisting God isn’t bursting dazzlement
through everything we’ve made
a hard commitment to see as ordinary,
stripping the sacred from everywhere
to put in a cloud man elsewhere,
prying closeness from your heart.
The worst thing we ever did
was take the dance and the song
out of prayer
made it sit up straight
and cross its legs
removed it of rejoicing
wiped clean its hip sway,
its questions,
its ecstatic yowl,
its tears.
The worst thing we ever did is pretend
God isn’t the easiest thing
in this Universe
available to every soul
in every breath.

Allow me to invite you into a different way of experiencing life.
With over a decade immersed in this work, I support people in dismantling the internal structures they have been forced to live from through stress, survival, conditioning, and lived experience.
Together, we work to reduce the burden your body, nervous system, and identity have carried through life.
This is not about adding more to who you are.
It is about rebuilding the foundations beneath you, safely, intentionally, and in a way that allows your system to reconnect with its natural state of regulation, stillness, capacity, connection and coherence.
Over time, life teaches us patterns of protection.
Childhood.
Family systems.
Schooling.
Relationships.
Bullying.
Culture.
Religion.
Workplace pressure.
Loss.
Achievement.
Survival.
These experiences shape how we show up and the identity we build and present to the world.
Many people spend years functioning through these patterns without ever realising how deeply they influence the way they feel, relate, respond, connect, achieve, and move through life itself.
This work creates the opportunity to gently dismantle those inherited and conditioned structures, so you can reconnect with the deeper truth of who you are beneath them.
