Could there be a more goated crew? Do come down to catch the first live attempt at something pretty ambitious and weird, I’m feeling very excited to share ! 〰️〰️〰️ and lest we forget that are launching their album Music For Frogs! Thanks .luna for spinning Divination on triple j last night! Meanwhile I was enjoying a byo beer with slugs on a university campus ahead of my student’s third year composition recital, before heading home to watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer s2e6 “Halloween” (topical if a little late). Today I’m doing my washing, getting a bagel at Local and Aesthetic and hosting a weird rock dog show for an Australian-Italian noise rock trio we put together through .list ,, my (lesser known?) exploratory music label/org co-run w friends. I bought a copy of The Barefoot Investor on marketplace for $5 because my life is full of too much good Art and not enough good Financial Stability. Lately I’ve been in the Kimberley and Pilbara facilitating songwriting in 4 Indigenous languages across various communities, an incredibly rewarding as well as complex/exhausting/confusing/enlightening job that I’ve been doing for 5 years now. Being back home on Whadjuk Noongar land for some rest and consistency is a blessing. Hoping to play some NM shows soon but mainly trying to rest and recuperate enough to feel like creating and sharing is fun.

🌱 watching the snow pea and rocket seeds that i just planted sprout and grow and become big
🌱 exciting prospects of chronic pain/health issues improving ever so slightly and slowly
🌱 reconnectiiiing with all the beautiful Boorloo crew that I’ve been missing while away

Sharing in the hopes of keeping it real // illuminating the un-shiny // and because time on this app has been skewing my perspective lately, so somehow it’s nice to share what feels like actual life ? Hope the beer slug pic can ground us all in a sense of reality xo

I love 😭 just back from our national tour and feeling like the the dog who had his day (and the day was two weeks long, dog time you know). Many ups to all the incredible bands we played with! A special mention to .adl and for the stunning show they hosted for Nika Mo in Tarntanya! Your community is so generous and loving !

And second special mention is to everyone who made it down to the Nika Mo Melb show at Nighthawks, what a cute as hell night we all shared ♥️
