Great news for those travelling through the top of WA! The first low level crossing will open tomorrow over the Fitzroy River!

FITZROY LOW-LEVEL CROSSING TO OPEN TOMORROW

Great news – the first temporary low-level crossing across the Fitzroy River will open 10am tomorrow.

At this stage, the crossing will only be open to four-wheel-drives only. Access may be expanded to heavier vehicles, such as single-axle trucks and tourist buses, pending ongoing conditions on the ground.

Thank you to the workers on the ground who have worked tirelessly to get this crossing up and running.

Work will soon start on a second temporary crossing that can carry more traffic and heavier vehicles.

Pending ongoing river and weather conditions, the second crossing will be operational in May.
