Carissa Boss - The Broker
I have been a solo broker for over 11 years now. I chose to align myself with the brand Elders but I don’t actually work for them. Over the years, I have had the absolute pleasure of working with and getting to know some of the most beautiful spirited people.
When I come to York each month, Michael has a warm cuppa on the go for me, the heater on and a space for me to sit for the day.
I get lots done, the locals call in and I usually take the time to walk up and down the street while I’m here.
It also happens to be my home town, so lunch today with my baby cousin is the icing on the cake!
If you weren’t already feeling the pressure of fuel prices, you might start feeling it now that your home loan is about to go up as well.
If your mortgage is $500,000 that’s around $85 per month in extra interest… I don’t know about you but that’s 2 gym memberships at my house, or the insurance on our second car, or the pizza night we already only have about once a month.
There are things we can do to try and increase affordability in the short to mid term for families while the kids are young, or by using long term investment strategies that can help pay down your loans faster.
If you want to chat to me or our Senior Broker Melissa, drop us a line and we can see what you’re eligible for.
Hot tip for you - ask us what your repayments would be if interest rates rose to say 7% or even 8% and then start making those payments now. It might hurt a little to start with but then your family week to week budget won’t be so impacted when the reserve bank sees it fit to tighten your belt even further…. Just a thought.

Recent Elders Award night. Just love the women we get to work with at Elders (and a couple of the fellas too)…. Thank you ladies for your constant source of support and inspiration, especially the way you quietly work hard and achieve results that should be being screamed from the roof tops in our little WA towns. Proud to be your colleague and friend. .0 (not just those lassies - just the only ones I could find on Instagram 🤭)

One last opportunity to get a ticket in the draw at the end of the week…. But this one is a tricky one… if you’ve followed where Mel and I have been lately you may be able to guess where the Eski is in this photo….
