WA Brass

We were saddened to learn of the passing earlier this week of former band member, Eric Banfield.
Eric played trombone with the band commencing with the Junior Band of the 11/44th Regiment when it was formed, later with the band during the 60’s when it was known as the National Youth Brass Band of WA, also playing Euphonium on the bands trip to Tasmania for the National Championships in 1981. He returned to Trombone performing with the band until the early 90’s with Midland Brick Brass. A former committee member for many years Eric was made a life member for his untiring work for the band.
We extend our condolences to wife Lyndley & all of Eric’s family.
