Another series from the almost metallic tidal flats found along the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley, an incredibly abstract and almost alien landscape that completely transforms with each passing tide. It was a real privilege to have the opportunity to photograph this remarkable part of Western Australia from above.

I’ll be heading back here in August for another run of aerial photography workshops through this truly epic region. We have just one spot remaining, so if you’d like to join us, just send me a message or visit my website. 🙏

Shot along the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, these tidal lagoons are reshaped twice a day by some of the largest tides in the country, they are truly insane to watch move in and out.

It’s been an incredibly rewarding workshop season so far. First and foremost, I’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly remarkable and inspirational people from around the world, then sharing with them my love of aerial photography and seeing landscapes from a perspective few ever get to experience.

I work hard to push what’s possible within the genre, constantly exploring, researching and searching for places that genuinely excite me. This particular series is one of those places that reminds me why I do what I do.

The Dampier Peninsula remains one of the most raw and untamed landscapes I photograph. Traditional Owners have cared for this land and maintained a connection to it for thousands of years, and it’s a genuine privilege to be able to explore and photograph these places from the air.

Every time I return, I leave with a deeper appreciation for just how extraordinary this corner of Australia really is.

I have one remaining spot available to explore this region with me in 2026. Beyond that, bookings are now open for 2027. If you’d like to experience these landscapes for yourself, just reach out or visit my website for more information. 👊

Over the last 12 years of flying around photographing the landscape from above, I’ve become increasingly drawn to how cool the earth looks when cracked!

At first glance they can seem quite simple, but no two are ever the same. Some are formed by drying salt lakes, others by mud, clay, minerals or even man made environments where roads, levees and evaporation ponds have altered the landscape. Each leaves behind its own fingerprint and look.

What fascinates me is the sheer variety. Sometimes the cracks are bold and graphic, other times they’re delicate and subtle, almost disappearing into the surface. From above they can look like river systems, lightning strikes, maps, veins or something entirely abstract.

This collection brings together a few of my favourite examples from over the years. Images made hundreds of kilometres apart but connected by these beautiful repeating patterns 🙏

If you’d like to join me next year chasing these landscapes, jump on my website or drop me a DM 🙏

I’ve spent a fair bit of time out in the more remote parts of the Goldfields this year, often finding myself hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town, exploring landscapes that are incredibly difficult to access.

The tailings ponds and processing areas scattered throughout these mining regions are unlike anything else I’ve photographed in Western Australia. From the air they feel almost extraterrestrial, vast networks of colours, textures and patterns that seem more at home on another planet than right here in our own backyard.

While these locations often spark conversations around industry and environmental impact, as a photographer I’m continually fascinated by the visual complexity they create. Every flight reveals something different, and it’s that sense of discovery that keeps drawing me back out into the middle of nowhere 🙏

If you’d like to join me, this year is soldout bar a couple of spots but 2027 has group and custom tours available 🙏
